Hello! My name is

My undying life passion lies with comics, not so much as a fan of specific works, but rather in dissecting them as an artform and a story telling medium.

Whether reading or creating them, I’m constantly picking apart page layouts, color choices, word placement and usage, panel shapes, gradual changes in art styles, and countless other minute choices that leave an effect on how the author’s story is being conveyed.

Nothing fills me with more excitement than finding an impeccable moment of storytelling techniques that elevate their narrative in unexpected places.

Despite my introverted tendencies, I’d be more than happy to discuss my works or interests with other people so if you see me tabling at a convention please don’t be afraid to come over and say hi!

Fun facts:

• The name ‘Artsy Junk Food’ is derived from the idea that most media can be divided into two categories; either something that is made to send thought provoking messages and challenge the audience (Artsy) or something that is consumed for respite, a comfortable break from the real world (Junk Food). When I start cooking, I’m always trying to incorporate both and bridge the gap in between the two.

• My favorite food is hamburgers which is why I made my logo a hamburger. However, cats are not my favorite animal even though they’ve been heavily incorporated into the ArtsyJunkFood brand identity.

  Rather, my favorite animal is a pangolin.

  Similarly, while it didn’t make its way into the website color scheme, my favorite color is orange!
